love your life Apr 10, 2024

I can hardly believe it's been over seven years since I've started my Wear Your Life Well journey. Seven years of sharing thoughts, dreams, fears, and everything in between to help you do YOU. Writing to you has always been my safe haven, my way of connecting without the fear of being judged or misunderstood. It's funny isn't it? How we find comfort in the familiar and often resist anything new even if it keeps us stuck.

I've always been a wordsmith, finding solace is the rhythm of typing, the beauty of a perfectly crafted sentence. The truth is, I've often hidden behind my words, using them as a shield against the vulnerability that comes with more visual forms of communication. Add the technical aspects and it all seemed too daunting.

But here's the thing, I'm shaking things up. Yes, you heard that right. I've decided to step out of my comfort zone and dive back into the world of social media. Remember my first stint on Instagram? Well, I'm giving it another go. This time, I'm not letting my fears hold me back because my focus is to serve you. If there's one thing I've realized, it's that growth lies on the other side of fear.

The decision to start again wasn't easy. Looking back at my previous attempts, I cringe a little (okay, a lot). Instead of giving up, I decided to invest in myself. I'm currently taking an on-line program to learn the ropes, to understand how to communicate in this new-to-me platform without losing the essence of who I am.

Today, I want to share something incredibly important with you: It's okay to be a beginner. It's okay not to get it right the first time, the second time or even the tenth time. Every new skill, every new venture, starts with a willingness to be bad at it. To embrace the awkwardness, the mistakes, and the learning curve.

Remember, to be good at anything, you first have to have the courage to be bad at it.

The only surefire way to avoid failure is to never try. And that my friend, is not living - it's merely existing. Stagnation is the real enemy, the thing that truly ages us, not the passing of time.
