Midlife Mojo
Nov 21, 2020Has 2020 seen you lose your mojo? In the midst of a coronavirus crisis, falling into a funk and starting to doubt yourself is easy to do. (But, you already know that.) And looking like you've tried when it comes to getting dressed seems so last year.
While we've spent the greater half of the year wearing sweat pants (or pajamas) day-after-day, part of us misses the feeling of *put togetherness* in actual clothes. We've all daydreamed about the outfits we'll wear once things open up and we are out and about again.
Let's get real. Right now, with so many changes happening refining your style on top of adjusting to the normal now is one thing too many.
Basically since the day Wear Your Life Well: Lessons on the Journey to your Truest Self (2017) was published, women have been asking me if I'm going to create a course on how to bounce back from life's setbacks and come out stronger. (I shared how I overcame my slice-of-life stuff in the book.)
I've always said "Nah, fundamentally I teach clothing confidence." That's my area of expertise. There are other people out there who teach confidence. Surely I'd be an imposter. I'm not academically qualified on the topic (but I've certainly had some lessons in life school).
That's totally silly. One of my most-favourite things is writing to you each week about dealing with life challenges we all share. I'm always encouraging my readers and students to claim their beauty by a becoming a strong, stylish and more confident woman.
After all, they work together. There is a cause-and-effect dynamic between what we express from the outside-in and inside-out.
Clothing starts from the outside to radiate to the inside. Mojo starts from the inside and radiates to the outside.
In a year that is forcing us all to rethink, reimagine and reinvent I got a call to take my work to the next level - to write a program that's about lasting confidence (the kind that you are still wearing when your clothes come off at the end of the day).
I want to explore mojo, how to get it, how to keep it and how to get it back if you lose it. I want it for myself. I want it for you.
Why didn't I think of it earlier? I'm tossing around so many ideas ...
Here's where you come in.
Would you take 5 minutes to post a comment? Help me shape my program. Tell me about your challenges and what you'd most like to see in a course about the power of you.
Thanks in advance for your input.
