Do You Have a Feel-Good Closet?
May 07, 2024Dream with me for a second.
It's a future morning, not unlike today.
The sun is rising, and you're feeling fresh and ready to win the day. But there's something different this morning. Last weekend, you made a bold move: you said goodbye to all those clothes in your closet that just don't fit anymore. Whether they were too tight or too baggy, you cleared them out without hesitation.
Remember those jeans that you've been holding onto for years, hoping one day they'd fit again. Well you made the empowering choice to donate them. And that shirt that used to hang on you like a curtain because you lost weight. Yep, that's gone too, donated to someone who can appreciate it just as much as you once did.
Now fast forward to getting dressed on the days ahead. As you open your closet, you're greeted with a sea of options. And instead of feeling overwhelmed, you're excited. Each piece represents a choice, a chance to express yourself and conquer the day ahead.
You've come to a powerful realization: holding onto clothes that don't fit isn't motivating at all. In fact, it does the opposite. It brings unnecessary stress, triggers your inner critic, and leaves you feeling less than amazing. But you know what? You've embraced yourself just as you are in this moment, and it feels incredible.
So, the next time you catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror, I want you to do something special: have a girlfriend conversation with yourself and shower yourself with love. Make it a habit to see, support, and accept yourself exactly as you are. And always remember this: it's not about fitting into clothes, it's about finding clothes that fit you perfectly. So if something doesn't fit, don't trash yourself - trash the pants instead. You deserve to feel confident and comfortable in your own skin, always.
